it was one of the last days i had left until i would move to california. i was home alone again in my room packing up what was left of my things when i suddenly heard a knock on the door...

me: "coming!.. who is it?"

and with a sarcastic but sweet voice she answered...

her: "santa claus dork! open up the door... its cold!"

i open the door and there stood cute jenny in a big furry jacket... even though it was so cold outside she still wore her skirt but with long white stockings that looked like socks. i smile and said 'hi' and let her in. she follows me back into my

room and helps me finish packing...

her: "hey, whats this? you have a stuff mouse?"

me: "yea... its kind of a childhood sentimental thing..."

her: (smiles) "sure... childhood... its okay johnny, you dont have to lie to me... its nothing wrong with having a teddy-bear... i mean teddy-mouse." (laughs)

me: (tries to look cool and regain watever pride i had left) "pssh... its jus a toy... it means nothing to me."

her: (laughs) "really? fine then ill jus throw it away for you okay?"

me: "um... i dont care..."

her: (smiles at me) "nah its such a waste... ill keep it."

once there was nothing left to pack... we both jus sat on my bed.

her: "johnny... its going to be weird when you're gone..."

me: "maybe... probably not... i dont think anything will change."

her: "i know im going to miss you."

me: "yeah? well... im going to miss you too."

she smiles at me for awhile...

me: "hey, let me get my jacket and lets go to the park okay?"

so i quickly grab my big winter jacket and lock the door to the house. we both walked down to the park that was near my house. it was completely covered in like 3 inches of snow... it looked really nice.

we were the only ones there, so it was pretty quiet. of course like always... jenny wasted no time throwing snowballs at my head. and then i had to push her down on to the snow... we kept trying to make perfect snow angels but after the third time we decided to stop.

we climbed up the bars of the playground set and sat down. it started to snow a bit again...

jenny: "i love the snow..."

me: "yea... i know. too bad it doesnt snow in california..."

after those words we jus sat there quiet for a moment... staring at the snow falling down around us.

her: "johnny..."

me: "yeah?"

her: "do you think we'll ever see each other again?.."

me: "sure... when im rich and i'm about to travel the world... i'll find you and take you with me."

her: "you promise?"

i paused for a second... then i turned and looked at her face. her face became pale and along with her nose, her cheeks were rosy red. how could i ever say no to her...

me: "i promise."

with that she was satisfied and then gave off a lil shiver. i scooted up closer to her and we both leaned against each others shoulders. she went back to staring at the snow... while i was thinking about what i had promised. at that moment i realized, we were probably never going to see each other again... and a part of me knew that she knew it too. i closed off my mind from any more thoughts about it and jus stare out at the snow... it was so beautiful.
